How to get to Fukui Prefecture

By airplane:

There’s no international airport in Fukui Prefecture. The nearest international hub is Komatsu Airport in Ishikawa Prefecture. The English website of Komatsu Airport is at http://www.komatsuairport.jp/index_en.html. You can get to Komatsu Airport from Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei, and Hong Kong.

There are direct buses from Komatsu Airport to JR Fukui Station, and it takes about an hour.

Kyoto is between Osaka and Fukui, and the train from the airport to Kyoto only takes about 90 minutes. You can have a look around Kyoto before coming to Fukui.
