
By airplane:
①There’s no international airport in Fukui Prefecture. The nearest international hub is Komatsu Airport in Ishikawa Prefecture. The English website of Komatsu Airport is at http://www.komatsuairport.jp/index_en.html. You can get to Komatsu Airport from Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei, and Hong Kong.

Hong Kong-Komatsu about 5 hours
There are direct buses from Komatsu Airport to JR Fukui Station, and it takes about an hour. It also takes about an hour to get to JR Fukui Station by bus and train.

Kyoto is between Osaka and Fukui, and the train from the airport to Kyoto only takes about 90 minutes. You can have a look around Kyoto before coming to Fukui.

By train(bullet train or limited express):
The train from Tokyo to Fukui City takes about three hours and 30 minutes.
The train from Kyoto to Fukui City takes about one and a half hours.
The train from Nagoya to Fukui City takes about an hour and 40 minutes.
